owner & Founder
Luke Shaw began his career at the bottom rung of the ladder—quite literally—working as a labourer in the UK. Over the past two decades, he’s built everything from slate roofs in Yorkshire to public parks in Sydney, and custom interiors in New York City to multi-family renovations across the Bay Area. This global perspective and hands-on expertise are the foundation That led him to launch Shaw Built.
Jesse Eppinger
Construction Superintendent
Jesse brings a lifelong passion for building to his role as Superintendent at Shaw Built Inc. He hails from a lineage of skilled craftsmen—carpenters and furniture makers—from the Eppinger family, who worked closely with Herman Miller in its early years. With deep roots in the trades, Jesse’s journey includes hands‑on work as a stone mason and crafting refined interior plaster finishes before transitioning into project management. That foundation gives him a sharp eye for detail and a deep respect for true craftsmanship at every stage of construction.
At Shaw Built, Jesse leads residential projects with a focus on clear communication, efficiency, and integrity—ensuring each home reflects the care and quality the company is known for. Based in Santa Cruz, he’s driven by a love for creating spaces that feel both beautiful and lived-in.
Outside of work, Jesse enjoys time with his family, playing music, and exploring the outdoors—whether that means hiking the coastal trails or getting his hands dirty in the garden. He stays grounded in the same community he helps build.
Jolie Witten-Hannah
Construction Project Manager
Jolie got her start in construction after managing her own home remodel and discovering how much she loved the process. Today, she brings that same passion to her role as a Project Manager, guiding jobs from initial concept through to final completion.
A Santa Cruz native and UCSC graduate with a B.A. in Sociology, Jolie enjoys the fast-paced problem-solving her work requires—and relaxing with her three kids when the day is done.
Haley mcKee
Construction Project Administrator
Haley is the Project Administrator at Shaw Built Inc., contributing to financial management, HR, scheduling, customer service, and construction compliance. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration from San Francisco State University and brings a diverse background—from running her own coffee shop in Pacifica to working in permitting and code enforcement across local jurisdictions.
With over a decade of experience in construction operations, Haley now lives in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where she enjoys gardening and creating nature-inspired art.
